It is with deep sorrow that we have been informed that our long-time collegue and dear friend Kimmo Kaivos has passed away on Jan 29, 2025 from a long-time serious illness.

Mr. Kimmo Kaivos, a dedicated and passionate professional whose work touched the lives of many. For over twenty years, Kimmo played a pivotal role at Buag, vitally assisting marketing efforts in connection with the careers of Finnish World Rally Championship legends like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, and Kalle Rovanperä.

His contributions went beyond the world of marketing and sponsorship; he was a true advocate for the sport and its athletes, helping them shine on the global stage.

 

Kimmo’s commitment to his work was matched only by his love for his family. He was a cherished husband to Pirjo and a proud father and grandfather, always finding joy in the milestones of his children and their families. To his colleagues like Timo Jouhki, Kimmo was a friend, and a steady presence who always brought his best to every project. Kimmo's sence of humour was a constant delight.

While we feel the loss of Kimmo deeply, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the lasting impact of his work. Today, we not only mourn his passing, but we also celebrate the remarkable person he was—a true professional, a loving family man, and a good friend. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
